Camp Aranzazu has been named one of the best summer camps in the United States by Newsweek.

“I am proud that Camp Aranzazu has been recognized as one of the best summer camps in the nation,” says Kurt R. Podeszwa, Camp Aranzazu President/CEO. “This type of recognition is a reflection of our team’s dedication to our mission and all the amazing campers we’re able to serve each year.”

In partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, Newsweek analyzed more than 12,000 summer camps in the United States and used data from social media reviews and input from parents to develop a list of the top 500 summer camps. As one of the 483 ACA accredited camps listed, Camp Aranzazu is the only camp serving campers along the Texas Gulf Coast.

“While we’re able to give campers traditional camp activities like swimming and archery, our coastal environment allows us the unique opportunity to offer sailing, bayfront fishing, beachcombing, and so much more all year long,” shares Podeszwa. “It’s not just our inclusive programming. It’s not just our adaptive facilities. It’s not just our incredible partners who work alongside us to serve their campers. It’s all the pieces working together that helps to set us apart from other camps. I can’t wait for this year’s campers, partners, and seasonal staff to be part of the magic of camp!”
